傍晚經文
他又叫我們與基督耶穌一同復活、一同坐在天上、
我一聽見、就仆倒在他腳前、像死了一樣。他用右手按著我說、不要懼怕．我是首先的、我是末後的、又是那存活的．我曾死過、現在又活了、直活到永永遠遠．並且拿著死亡和陰間的鑰匙。 - 父阿、我在那裡、願你所賜給我的人、也同我在那裡、叫他們看見你所賜給我的榮耀．因為創立世界以前、你已經愛我了。
因我們是他身上的肢體。〔有古卷在此有就是他的骨他的肉〕 - 他也是教會全體的之首．他是元始、是從死裡首先復生的、使他可以在凡事上居首位。 - 你們在他裡面也得了豐盛。他是各樣執政掌權者的元首．
兒女既同有血肉之體、他也照樣親自成了血肉之體．特要藉著死、敗壞那掌死權的就是魔鬼．並要釋放那些一生因怕死而為奴僕的人。
這必朽壞的、總要變成不朽壞的．〔變成原文作穿下同〕這必死的、總要變成不死的。這必朽壞既變成不朽壞的．這必死的、既變成不死的．那時經上所記、死被得勝吞滅的話就應驗了。

Evening Scripture
And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus,
When I saw him, I fell at his feet as though dead. Then he placed his right hand on me and said: "Do not be afraid. I am the First and the Last.I am the Living One; I was dead, and behold I am alive for ever and ever! And I hold the keys of death and Hades. - "Father, I want those you have given me to be with me where I am, and to see my glory, the glory you have given me because you loved me before the creation of the world.
for we are members of his body. - And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy. - and you have been given fullness in Christ, who is the head over every power and authority.
Since the children have flesh and blood, he too shared in their humanity so that by his death he might destroy him who holds the power of death--that is, the devil--and free those who all their lives were held in slavery by their fear of death.
For the perishable must clothe itself with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality.When the perishable has been clothed with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality, then the saying that is written will come true: "Death has been swallowed up in victory."
