因為耶和華所愛的、他必責備．正如父親責備所喜愛的兒子。
你們如今要知道、我、惟有我是神、在我以外並無別神．我使人死、我使人活、我損傷、我也醫治、並無人能從我手中救出來。 - 耶和華說、我知道我向你們所懷的意念、是賜平安的意念、不是降災禍的意念、要叫你們末後有指望。 - 耶和華說、我的意念、非同你們的意念、我的道路、非同你們的道路。
後來我必勸導他、領他到曠野、對他說安慰的話． - 你當心裡思想、耶和華你神管教你、好像人管教兒子一樣。 - 凡管教的事、當時不覺得快樂、反覺得愁苦．後來卻為那經練過的人、結出平安的果子、就是義． - 所以你們要自卑、服在神大能的手下、到了時候他必叫你們升高。
耶和華阿、我知道你的判語是公義的．你使我受苦、是以誠實待我。

Morning Scripture
because the LORD disciplines those he loves, as a father the son he delights in.
"See now that I myself am He! There is no god besides me. I put to death and I bring to life, I have wounded and I will heal, and no one can deliver out of my hand. - For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. - "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways," declares the LORD.
"Therefore I am now going to allure her; I will lead her into the desert and speak tenderly to her. - Know then in your heart that as a man disciplines his son, so the LORD your God disciplines you. - No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it. - Humble yourselves, therefore, under God's mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time.
I know, O LORD, that your laws are righteous, and in faithfulness you have afflicted me.
